Guiding Philosophy and Principles
First, a commitment to Christian unity. Trinity Christian Academy is based upon the basic and common core teachings and historic fundamental principles of the Christian Faith, found and recorded in the Sacred Scriptures, God’s Holy and inspired Word.
Second, a deep respect for the authority of parents and their duty to direct their children's education.
Third, a commitment to academic excellence.
Fourth, a deep concern for the students as individuals.
Fifth, a commitment to ensuring that a proper sense of fairness and equity are observed in all aspects of the school’s life and activities.
Sixth, a firm belief that there needs to be a strong bond between school, church, home and community.
Trinity Christian Academy is a private K – 12 Christian school located in the beautiful town of Shapleigh, Maine. We offer a quality, Christ-centered education in all of the regular academic subjects, where students learn best at their own pace and level. We offer small classes and classroom settings, but students are challenged to reach their fullest potential, guided by dedicated and qualified teachers whose lives are centered and guided by a firm commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. On September 29, 2017 Trinity Christian Academy received a letter from the Department of Education of the State of Maine, recognizing our school as a "private school recognized by the Department as providing equivalent instruction." 20-AMRSA 5001-A(3)(A)(1)(b) Homeschoolers are always welcome to participate.
Tuition, Fees and Finances
Trinity Christian Academy is committed to providing a quality Christian education for all of our students, without putting any unnecessary financial strains on the parents. We strive to keep our costs reasonably priced and will work out a payment plan to enable parents to enroll their children in the school. We are able to do this since many of our teachers receive no salary and donate their time and efforts to the students and the school. They consider it a vocation and ministry, not an occupation.
Our current tuition is set at what is currently the lowest tuition for a private school anywhere in southern Maine and eastern New Hampshire. Check with us for information about the financial cost of an education at Trinity Christian Academy.
Trinity Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
